Supporting Local Businesses This Christmas

It's that time of year again when we team up with some of the best local businesses across Bury to give away fantastic prizes for lucky winners in the local community, just in time for Christmas!

That's right, building on last year's huge success, we're delighted to announce that our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway is back! 

And let's face it, after the last few months with all of the doom and gloom in the media, we all need some festive cheer so it is our aim to bring it back bigger and better!

So, what happened last year?

Well, we teamed up with some fantastic local companies and they were all incredibly generous, despite facing the same economic challenges as everyone else. And, at WeLocate, we love to support these local businesses so we made it our mission to share their kindness far and wide using our social media power.

We had restaurants like Lal Quila and The Lime Tree in Prestwich giving away free family meals.

Gems Hair & Beauty in Whitefield and Athena in Bury gave away beauty products and services.

The Ramsbottom Gin company and The Keg, Cask & Bottle made some people very happy by giving away alcohol hampers.

And, of course, who could forget the energy that The Best in Bury guys brought to the table? An entertaining video and an amazing giveaway essentially feeding an entire family for Christmas!

WeLocate & WeLocate Finance also got in the act and gave away £200 in Morrison's vouchers just in time for that Christmas food shop!

Our videos were shared around the local community getting thousands of views with 'likes' and 'follows' on the company pages rocketing and offering extra exposure for these fantastic local businesses over the busiest periods.

So, here we are looking to do it all over again. We already have some fantastic companies taking part again but if you are a local business and want to get involved, now is your chance!

How does it work?

Firstly, your company puts up a prize that a member of the local community can win.

We will come to your workplace and briefly interview the company owner or a representative, giving you an opportunity to promote your services and tell us, and the public, what they can win.

This is recorded on video and we will also take video overlays of your premises. We then edit the footage and produce a short video which is shared across all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Tik Tok. We also share it with local community groups. 

The rule is that to enter, the viewer must 'like' and 'share' the post and we encourage them to 'like' your page too. And that's it! So, in a nutshell, you put up a prize, give us a suitable date to attend your premises and interview you, and we'll take care of the rest.
